Interior Painting

Similar to our exterior process, interior painting involves prep work, body application and trim application.
The first step is to remove any items on the walls (faceplates, picture frames etc.) for proper coverage. Next–we move any items away from walls to be painted and mask flooring, spackle holes, caulk baseboard/trim, fill trim nail holes and do a visual inspection for any problem areas such as exposed drywall tape lines, dirt or peeling paint. Then, any light drywall repair/texturing and priming is performed.
After all the prep work and masking is accomplished, it’s time for the topcoat. Although many products tout one coat is all you need, through experience we know that is not the case–at least two coats should be applied to ensure proper uniform coverage. Finally, the trim color is applied and any necessary touch up. The result is a new vibrant interior you can enjoy for years to come!
Exterior Painting
Arizona is dry with temperatures that can fluctuate quickly between day and night. Moisture penetration and temperature fluctuation are some of the main culprits which can effect the integrity of your exterior over time. When water penetrates hairline cracks in stucco and freezes it expands, causing the gap to expand. Temperature changes can also cause surfaces like wood to expand and contract which can make the topcoat peel.
We’re blessed to live in a state with an abundance of sunlight, but it can also cause paint to fade. Factors such as sun/weather damage, substandard paint products, application or not letting stucco properly cure before sealing and painting can all affect the longevity of your exterior. Regardless of the cause or surface, over time exteriors need to be painted to ensure proper protection and maintenance.
Proper prep-work is essential to establishing a paintable surface and provides a lasting longevity to the structure of your investment. Pressure washing is the first step in order to clean the surface of dirt and grime that have accumulated over the years. Scraping peeling paint, sanding, priming, caulking, stucco repair, replacing rotted wood and sealing areas where moisture can penetrate are all important tasks that a full service paint job requires. Masking windows, lights, covering entranceways and any areas where paint is unsuited is the final step before paint application.
After prep work is done, a minimum of two coats should be applied in order to have a uniform, durable finish. The first coat is back-rolled or back-brushed in order to work the paint into the surface adequately. Some companies only spray, which in many instances doesn’t give the surface proper coverage.
The end result is always a long-lasting, consistent, durable finish that adds value and curb appeal to your home.
